Rev. Art Wolz was appointed pastor of Bethany Church in July, 2010. Art received his his bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, where he met and married his wife, Vicki. He received his divinity degree from Wesley Theological Seminary. My name is Sondra Colbert and I am proud to be the Director of Youth Ministries for Bethany United Methodist Church. My husband Michael and I have lived in the Gloucester Point Community since 1999. I have been blessed to have the opportunity to work with youth of all ages for the past 21 years. As the Director of Children's Ministry
at Bethany, I oversee the weekly Children's Worship during our 11:00am service, the
monthly Children's Christian Fellowship (CCF) program, a pre-teen Bible Study Group, the
summer Vacation Bible School and other seasonal programs involving children from preschool
through fifth grade. It is my hope that the children who participate in any of these
activities will not only have fun with their peers, yet they will also become spiritually
enriched. I feel it is important to assist children in learning the teachings of
Christ so that they may form a strong foundation for a life filled with the love of God. I have educational and professional experience as Kindergarten Teacher, Human Resource Coordinator and Recruiter. My husband Jonathan and I have been members of Bethany since 2002 and are blessed with two young boys, Austin and Connor. |
